LOUISBURG, NC--Betty Murphy May, 76, died Saturday, November 18, 2023 at her home in Louisburg, NC. She was born on July 20, 1947 in Franklin County to the late Paul and Beulah Wood Murphy.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years Ernest Earl May, and two sisters, Judy Ritch and Joyce Bailey.

Betty is survived by her three children, Sheila Bunn, David May, and Jennifer Haley (Terry) all of Louisburg; five grandchildren; two sisters, Edna Knight (Michael) and Lorrie Perry (Larry); three brothers, Elmas Murphy (Doris), Tommy Murphy and Ronnie Murphy; sister-in-law, Bettie Jo May; and brother-in -law, Ricky May.

Friends and visitors will be received Wednesday, November 22, at 11 a.m., at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services. Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. after visitation with Pastor Dale Eatmon officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Lancaster Memorial Park in Louisburg.
