LOUISBURG, NC--Clara "Yvonne" Dement, 83 of Louisburg, died Friday, December 8, 2023 at Kitty Askins in Goldsboro, NC.

Clara was born on June 16, 1940 in North Carolina to parents Lonnie and Louise Murphy Burnette.

In addition to her parents, Yvonne is preceded in death by her husband Raymond Dement; one brother, Raybon Burnette, and one sister, Faye Smith.

Yvonne is survived by her son, Steven Dement (Pamela); two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a step-great-grandson; a niece and a host of extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, December 17, at Centerville Baptist Church Cemetery at 2 p.m. and will be officiated by Pastor Doug Moore. Family will receive friends and visitors at the home on Saturday, December 16, and immediately following the graveside service on Sunday.
