LOUISBURG, NC-- James Russell Dickerson, 70, of Louisburg, died Friday, January 5, 2024 at his home.

Born September 7, 1953, Russell was a son of the late Percy C. and Aileen M. Dickerson. He was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Mary Kem Collier; brother, Jerry Van Dickerson, Sr. and sister, Judy Dickerson.

Survivors: wife of 41 years, Mary R. Dickerson; sisters and brother-in-law, Helen Sanderlin of Louisburg; Ann and Fred Wheeler of Franklinton; many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 2:30 p.m. Thursday, January 11, at Ransdell Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
