FRANKLINTON, NC--Bernice J. Crudup of Franklinton, died January 3, 2024 at the age of 102.

She was born January 28, 1921 in Franklinton, NC,

She was predeceased by her parents, Haywood B. Ellis and Hattie Bell Ellis; husband, Richard T. Crudup; four brothers, Thomas, Joseph, Henry, and Festus Ellis; six sisters, Bettie Mae, Ernestine, Marie, Willie, Hazel, and Annie; two sisters-in-law, Thelma Ellis and Julia Lee Kelly; three brothers-in-law, Johnny, Ferdon, and Charlie Crudup, and one granddaughter.

She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Hope James Franklinton; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-nieces and great-nephews, and other family and friends.

Service was held on Saturday, January 13, at 2 p.m. at Rocky Chapel Baptist Church, Louisburg, Pastor Rev. Rory Sneed and Rev. Dr. Dannie T. Williams, Eulogist officiated.
