KITTRELL, NC--Gladys Elizabeth Brooks Joyner, 88 of Kittrell, died Saturday, February 24, 2024.

Born in Franklin County, NC January 25, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Bailey Owens and Mary Dunstan Brooks.

On, Gladys's journey on this earth ended. She was preceded in death by her husband, McDonald Joyner, and son, Mark Joyner.

Survivors are two daughters, Cheryl Lyons (Michael) of Durham, NC and Angela Perry (Carlton) of Kittrell, NC; one son, Donald Joyner (Regina) of Charlotte, NC; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Bertha Brooks Cutchins, (Bobby); two brothers-in-law; one sister-in-law; nieces, nephews, and a several other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held Saturday, March 2, at Concord Missionary Baptist Church, Kittrell, where the Rev. Brian Floyd is Pastor and Officiated.
