ZEBULON - Zelda Privette Mitchell, 79, died Friday morning, Oct. 19, 2007 at Wake Med. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Oct. 21, at Pearce Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery.

She was born in Franklin County, daughter of the late Lumas Elmer Privette and Elsie Strickland Privette. She was retired cafeteria manager with Siemens.

Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar J. Mitchell; son, Lanny Mitchell; brother, Kendall Privette; and one granddaughter.

Surviving: sons, Steve Mitchell (Yvonne), Eddie Mitchell (Angela), and Pat Mitchell; brother, Ainsworth Privette (Elsie), all of Zebulon; and a number of grandchildren.
