Franklinton, NC--Funeral services for Raymond "Smooth Groove" Cooke, Jr., age 45, who died on Monday, July 15, 2024, will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at 12 p.m. from the Richardson Funeral Home Chapel in Louisburg with Elder Shelton Wilkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Cooke Family Cemetery.

Born April 7, 1979, he is survived by two sons, Raymond Calvin Cooke, III of Houston, TX, Nicolas Cooke of Raleigh, NC; his mother, Minister Kay Massenburg of the home; his father, Raymond Calvin Cooke, Sr. of Louisburg, NC; and one sister Phenicia Cooke of Youngsville, NC.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 4 until 6 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.
