Reba S. Harris January 30, 1945 - September 17, 2024
LOUISBURG, NC--Reba S. Harris, 79, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2024 in Louisburg, NC. She was born in Phoenix, Arizona where she attended Monterey Park School, North High School and graduated from Arizona State University with a BA degree in Education. Reba also took classes at Arizona State College (now known as Northern Arizona University) while working at her first job making circuit boards at Motorola, Inc. in Phoenix. She later worked at the Franklin County Tax Office in Louisburg. For more than thirty years prior to her declining health, she regularly attended Mt Zion Baptist Church near Laurel Mill. Reba enjoyed working outside planting uncountable numbers of flowers, shrubs and trees, but her special interest was for all birds, so she always made sure they had food available all year long in her yard. Reba is survived by her husband, Ralton Harris, daughters, Sheena Harris, sister, Wanda Patton (Gary) of Phoenix. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Earl Emhoff, Virginia Jonell Emhoff, and her brothers, Thomas "Tommy" Earl Emhoff. Her previously deceased maternal grandparents were James Thomas Odell and Willis Agnes (England) Odell of Phoenix. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Duke Cancer Institute or the Alzheimer's Foundation. Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.
