Castalia, NC--Funeral services for James "Herbert" Evans, age 77, who died on Thursday, November 28, 2024, will be held on Thursday, December 5, at 1 p.m. from the Richardson Funeral Home Chapel in Louisburg with Rev. Andrew West officiating. All funeral attendees will be required to wear a mask per family request.

Born Jan. 29, 1947, he is survived by his wife, Lorraine Silver Evans of the home; five daughters, Tojuana Townsend (Jeffrey) of Louisburg, NC, Tosha Perreault (Jacques) of Colorado Springs, CO, Brandy Forbes (James) of Wake Forest, NC, Jamie Wiggins (Jacopo) of Knightdale, NC, Telecia Evans of the home; one son, Hervet Nakia Evans of Zebulon, NC; one sister, Joyce Faye Coppedge (Sidney) of Nashville, NC; four brothers, Lindsey Blake Evans (Doris) of Nashville, NC, Arvid Lee Evans (Shirley) of Raleigh, NC, Nevin Evans of Hollister, NC, Andrew Evans (Ola Mae) of Nashville, NC; seventeen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The family received friends Wednesday from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.
