Louisburg, NC -- Funeral services for Vermus Coley Sr., age 84, who died on Friday, May 9, 2025, will be held on Saturday, May 17, at 1 p.m. from the New Hope Worship Center in Bunn, NC.

Burial will follow in the Coley Family Cemetery, Louisburg.

Born Feb. 11, 1941, he is survived by: his wife, Carlean Coley of the home; one son, Vermus Coley Jr. (Carolyn), four daughters, Elizabeth Battle (Dwight), Linda McCargo (Darrell) both of Louisburg, Tabatha Richardson (Herbert) of Raleigh, NC and Precious Coley of Louisburg, NC; one brother, Duray Coley (Susie) of Louisburg, NC; two sisters, Lillian Silver (Robert) and Shirley Richardson both of Louisburg, NC; twelve grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be held Friday, May 16, from 5 until 6 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home Chapel in Louisburg, NC.
