LOUISBURG, NC -- Virginia Pearce Wheless, 92, of Louisburg, died Tuesday evening, August 26, 2025.

Born January 28, 1933, Virginia was the daughter of the late John Omega and Blanche Davis Pearce. She was preceded in death by her husband, James David Wheless; sisters, Mary Ussery, Annie High, Pattie Perry; brothers, Rupert Pearce, Ben Pearce, John Pearce, Joe Pearce, Lee Pearce, Roger Pearce, Louis Pearce, Howard Pearce and Bill Pearce.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, at Bunn Baptist Church with Rev. Tyler Fink and Rev. Tom Eldridge officiating. The family will receive friends 10 - 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. A private family burial will follow in the Wheless Family Cemetery.

Virginia is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Karen Wheless; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Mike Collins; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
