FRANKLINTON, NC -- Macon Dale Pleasants, 66, of Franklinton, died September 25, 2025. Dale was born in Vance County on January 18, 1959 to the late Coy and Margie Medlin Pleasants. In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by the mother of his daughter, Tracy Chapman; his brother-in-law, Ron Phillips; and his grandmother, Viola Medlin.

Dale is survived by his daughter, Hannah Viola Pleasants; his sisters, Joyce Phillips, Tammie Piper (Irvin), and Kimberly Murray (Jamie); a special aunt; and many other nieces and nephews.

The family received friends on Sunday, September 28, from 6 - 7:30 p.m. at Lancaster's Franklinton Chapel, 504 E. Mason St. Franklinton, where funeral services were held Monday, September at 3 p.m., burial followed at Mary's Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery on Bruce Garner Rd. in Wake Forest.
