YOUNGSVILLE - Johnnie Atmoore Clark, 70, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007 at Franklin Regional Medical Center. Graveside services were conducted Tuesday, Dec. 11, at Harris Chapel Baptist Church cemetery.

He was born in Pitt County, the son of the late Lucy Larue Moore Clark and Lenster Atmoore Clark, and was a member of Rolesville Baptist Church. Mr. Clark was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve, serving during the Berlin Crisis, and was the former owner of Clark Telecommunications.

Surviving: his wife, Sherry W. Clark; daughter, Cindy C. Clayton (Stan) of Roanoke Rapids; son, Mark J. Clark (Jena) of Lake Royale; brother, Burley Clark (Dot) of Franklinton; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Wallace of Greenville.
