CASTALIA - Wallace Ray Colbert, 73, died Tuesday morning, Jan. 1, 2008. A graveside service was conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, at Red Bud Baptist Church cemetery.

He was a son of the late John Oliver and Susie Patterson Colbert.

Surviving: his wife, Ann T. Colbert; daughters, Karen Proctor (Tracy) of Zebulon, Amy Colbert of Castalia; sisters, Evelyn Jones of Warrenton and Minnie Wilson of Castalia; brothers, Maurice Colbert of Louisburg, Richard Colbert of Raleigh and Stanley Colbert of Castalia; and four grandchildren.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society, 12 S. Boylan Ave., Raleigh, NC 27603.
