DURHAM — Semora Johnson, 59, of 2922 Kanewood Drive, died Monday, February 11, 2008 at home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 2508 Crest St. Family visitation will be one hour prior to service. Viewing will be noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday at Fisher Funeral Parlor.

The daughter of Carrie Boler Johnson and the late Nathaniel Thaxton Johnson, Semora was born on July 2, 1948 in Durham, North Carolina.

She was educated in the Durham Public Schools and was a 1966 graduate of Hillside High School. She was also a 1971 graduate of North Carolina Central University.

Semora worked for many years as a church administrator at her church, New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories, two sons, Steffan Johnson (Shaunecey) and Carey Johnson (Margie); her mother, Carrie Boler Johnson; several grandchildren; one brother, Nathan Johnson (Vinnie Mae); one aunt, Doris Boler Austin; two uncles, Eugene Johnson and William Boler; and a host of other relatives and friends.
