CASTALIA - Funeral services for Lee S. Silver, 88, who died Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, will be conducted at 1 p.m. today (Saturday, March 1) at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Linda Taybron officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving: his wife, Martha Lean Silver of the home; daughters, Lula Mae Richardson of Richmond, Va., Bettie Jean Dale and Yvonne Jefferson, both of Castalia; sons, William L. Silver and Johnny A. Evans, both of Louisburg, Howard L. Silver of Hollister, Robert A. Silver of Castalia, and Michael E. Silver of Rocky Mount; 23 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
