YOUNGSVILLE - Betty Lee Hubbard, 80, died Monday, March 17, 2008. Funeral services were conducted Friday, March 21, in the chapel of Brown-Wynne Funeral Home on Millbrook Road, Raleigh.

She was born in Union County to the late B.H. Clontz and Olie Ross Clontz. She attended nursing school at the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Charlotte. She began her career working as a polio nurse and later worked for the Red Cross.

Surviving: her husband, Billy K. Hubbard of Youngsville; son, Kenneth A. Hubbard of Youngsville; two daughters, Lynda H. Cummings (Charles) of Broadway, Dena H. Atkins (Chris) of Lillington; brother, Bobby Clontz of Huntersville; and seven grandchildren.
