FRANKLINTON - Edna Ross Wood, 82, died Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, June 2, at Union View Baptist Church, Franklinton, with the Rev. Clyde Waiden officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Born in Franklin County, Mrs. Wood was the daughter of the late Henry Alfred Ross and Ruthie Bailey Ross. She was the widow of Thurman H. Wood and was a retired employee of John Umstead Hospital.

Surviving: a son, Rickey Blake of Franklinton; a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Franklin Funeral Service and Cremation, 504 E. Mason Street, Franklinton.
