RALEIGH - Alice Hayes Glasgow, 99, died Monday, March 24, 2008 at Sunnybrook Nursing Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, March 26) inside the mausoleum of Raleigh Memorial Park. The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. Burial will be in Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh.

She was born in Franklin County to the late Charlie Hayes and Carrie Long Hayes. She was a seamstress and worked in the bridal department at Mother and Daughter and Belks.

Surviving: sisters, Marie H. Bagwell and Maude H. Smith, both of Louisburg; and one granddaughter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Eugene Glasgow Sr.; sons, Maurice Eugene Glasgow Jr. and Darrell Hayes Glasgow; four brothers and three sisters.
