RALEIGH - Melissa Mae Joyner-Walker, 77, died Sunday, April 6, 2008 at Wake Medical Center. Funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, April 9) at Feggins & Feggins Funeral Chapel in Wake Forest. Burial will follow in the Union Grove Baptist Church cemetery in Youngsville.

She was born in Franklin County to the late Ulue and Mary Willie Montaque-Joyner.

Surviving: 10 children: James Joyner, Fay Allen, Ellen Haynes, Barbara Fleming (William), Janice Walker-Perry, Mamie Bryant (Angelo), Will Walker, George D. Walker Jr., Mary Ann Brooks, and John Walker; 31 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
