ZEBULON - Herby Waddell Horton, 50, died Monday, April 14, 2008 at Duke Health Raleigh Hospital. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, April 17, at Pilot Baptist Church, Zebulon, with the Rev. Roger Hensley and the Rev. Kevin Byers officiating. Entombment followed at the Stallings family cemetery, Stallings Road, Pilot.

He was born in Wake County to Perry Waddell “Snake” Horton and Evelyne Stallings Horton. He was a graduate of Bunn High School. He worked for Parrish Realty and owned and operated H&L Disco and American Dream Linousine Service. Surviving, in addition to his parents: sister, Charlene Horton; special friend, Greg Spell of Cary; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
