LOUISBURG - John W. Clifton, 85, died Thursday, June 5, 2008 at Britthaven of Louisburg. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, at Haywood Baptist Church, Louisburg. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving: wife, Pauline B. Clifton of Youngsville; daughter, Esther “Penny” Wilkerson of Louisburg; sons, Johnny C. Clifton Sr., Alfonza Clifton and Ronald “Pokey” Clifton, all of Louisburg; sisters, Wynella C. Moore of Louisburg and Elizabeth Evans of Brooklyn, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
