LOUISBURG - Gary “Pappy” Allen Burbage Sr., 63, died Monday, July 21, 2008 at Rex Hospital. Funeral service was Thursday at Strickland Funeral Home chapel in Wendell. Burial was in the Bunn Town Cemetery.

He was born in Berkeley County, S. C., and was a retired electrical foreman.

Surviving: his wife, Sandra Medlin Burbage; son, Gary Allen Burbage Jr. (Holly) of Clayton; daughters, Brenda Thompson (Jay) of Moncks Corner, S.C., and Amanda Carrolton; stepdaughter, Pam Rochester (Jimmy) of Louisburg; and two grandchildren.
