LOUISBURG – Edith Best Ferrell, 70, died Wednesday night, Nov. 5, 2008 at WakeMed. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. today (Saturday, Nov. 8) at Hill King United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Rhonda Maurer officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

She was a daughter of the late Joseph Thomas and Lucy Pernell Best, and was preceded in death by her husband, William H. “Winkie” Ferrrell, Jr.; sister, Irma Wood; brothers, Bryant Best, Talmadge Best, Charles “Preacher” Best, Irvin Best and George Best. She was a member of Hill King United Methodist Church.

Surviving: daughters, Annette Rice (Steve) of Louisburg, Connie Ferrell of Raleigh; sisters, Juanita Nash (Willard), Judy Staley (Ralph), all of Louisburg, Emily Proctor of Greenville.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hill King United Methodist Church, 1989 NC 39 Hwy. S., Louisburg, NC 27549.
