ZEBULON - Cynthia “Cindy” Atkins Caldwell, 75, died Tuesday morning, Jan. 13, 2009. Funeral services were Friday at Strickland Funeral Home chapel, Wendell, followed by entombment in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.

Surviving: husband, Thad Caldwell; daughters, Donna McCollum (Bob) of Raleigh, Pamela Pridgen of Jacksonville; son, Richard Caldwell (Susan) of Weddington; sister, Linda Hughes (Red) of Johnsonville, S.C.; brother, Michael Atkins of Danville, Va.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
