WOODROW WILSON HARRIS


ST. AUGUSTINE, FL - Woodrow Wilson Harris, 87, of St. Augustine, FL, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2009.  He was born in Oxford, NC and resided in St. Augustine for the past 10 years. Mr. Harris served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He retired from the U.S. Government where he oversaw quality control for the production of aircraft in Norfolk, VA.  He and his wife  then returned home to Franklin County,  North Carolina, where he pursued his passion for farming.

Graveside services will be held at a later date in North Carolina.

He was the husband of the late Jewel Dennis Harris and the brother of the late Elizabeth H. Gazda.

He is survived by daughter, Patricia Morse of St. Augustine; sons, Woodrow W. Harris Jr. of Columbia, SC, Frank D. Harris of Melbourne, FL; sister, Marguerite H. Keeling of Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Bryan, Jay, Elizabeth, Jonathan; great-grandchildren, Wilson, Ansley and Emerson.

 Craig Funeral Home Crematory Memorial Park is in charge of arrangements.
