CORY D. PARKHURST
April 9, 1971 – October 20, 2010
CASTALIA – Cory D. Parkhurst, 39, passed away in his home in Castalia, NC on October 20, 2010, after several years of failing health following an automobile accident. 

He is survived by his father, Dr. Carmen R. Parkhurst of Castalia, NC; paternal grandmother, Evelyn Parkhurst of Vickery, OH; an uncle, Cleve Parkhurst and wife, Donna of Port Clinton, OH; mother, Carol Brining and companion, Richard Jordan of Robersonville, NC; maternal grandmother, Marguerite Brining of Greenville, OH; an aunt, Kay Pierce and husband Ron of Greenville, OH; cousins Tyson Parkhurst of Castalia, OH, Kelly Parkhurst of Northeast, MD, and companion and good friend Jessica Whitehurst of Raleigh, NC.

Cory was a graduate of N.C. State University in 1989.  He was a great lover of music and the arts.  Cory’s many talents and sense of humor will be greatly missed by family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 3 PM, Sunday, October 24, at Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory at 103 W. Franklin Street, Louisburg, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

The family requests any memorial contributions be made to the Cory D. Parkhurst Memorial Fund at any NC State Employees Credit Union.
