IRENE G. ALEXANDER
LOUISBURG - Irene “Doll” Gupton Alexander, age 100, died Monday, Dec. 20, 2010. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 24, at Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 to 1 p.m. prior to services at the church on Friday.

Surviving: daughters, Josephine Jones of Orange, N.J., Dorothy Alston (Amos) and Irene Young of Louisburg; sons, Thurman Gupton (Catherine) and Douglas Gupton (Dorothy) of Louisburg; stepdaughter, Shirley Hicks of Louisburg; one sister, Mamie Williams of Louisburg; brother, Richard Collins of Louisburg; 26 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
