GORDON MANGUM JR.
FRANKLINTON —Gordon Mangum Jr., 81, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012 at Franklin Regional Medical Center in Louisburg. Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 28 at Pope Chapel United Church of Christ, Franklinton, with the Rev. Leroy Dukes officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

He was educated in the Franklin County Public School System and worked at Border Brick and Tile Company for many years. He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Surviving: wife, the Rev. Betty Mangum; four children, William (Maxine), Barbara Giles, Barbara and Keith; eight grandchildren; nieces,  nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.
