GAYNELL L. WOODLIEF

KITTRELL - Gaynell Layton Woodlief, age 65, a resident of 1090 Kittrell Road, died Friday morning at her home. Born on September 16, 1941 in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Calton Layton and Mattie Rogers Layton.

She was an Administrative Assistant at Roses Stores, Inc. where she worked for over 25 years.

She was a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church where funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 P.M. by the Rev. Robert Hammond. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Edward Woodlief of the home; two sons, Alridge E. Woodlief and wife, Lynn of Henderson, and Brad Woodlief and wife, Tonya of Wake Forest; one brother, Ben Layton of Kittrell; one sister, Catherine Loy of Youngsville; four grandchildren, Michelle Tharrington, Zachary Woodlief, Drew Woodlief, and Hunter Woodlief; and two great-grandchildren, Natalie Tharrington and Cole Tharrington. She was preceded in death by one son, Glen Layton Woodlief; and one brother, Barrett Layton.

The family will receive friends Saturday night from 6:30 until 8:00 P.M. at the J. M. White Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home.

Serving as active pall bearers will be Vince Boone, Ben Layton, Chris Layton, Mark Layton, Keith Layton, Derek Woodlief, Jeff Gardener, and Ernie Woodlief.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Union Chapel United Methodist Church, 6535 Raleigh Road, Kittrell, N. C. 27544.

Arrangements are by the J. M. White Funeral Home.
