OBITUARIES
WENDELL - Bobby Joe Allmon, 57, died Friday, April 21, 2006 at home. Visitation was held Monday, April 24, at Strickland Funeral Home, Wendell, and a Celebration of Life Service followed at 7 p.m. Private inurnment was at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
WAKE FOREST - Charles “Eddie” Woodlief, 51, died Friday, April 21, 2006 at his residence. Funeral services were held Monday, April 24, at Oak Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Michael Bass officiating. Entombment followed in the church cemetery.
WAKE FOREST - James Otis Black, 69, died after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 29, at Mitchell’s Funeral Home in Orlando, Fla.
WENDELL - Percy Clarence Holt, 79, died Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at his home. Funeral services were conducted Friday, April 28, at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

LOUISBURG – Seba Carlton Strickland, Sr., 78, of 864 Ransdell Rd., died Wednesday at his home. Seba was a son of the late William Seba and Ella Geneva Denton Strickland and a native of Franklin County.
ZEBULON - Shirley Stallings Martin, 91 (Pilot Community), died Saturday, April 22, 2006 at Guardian Care. Funeral services were conducted Monday, April 24, at Pilot Baptist Church. Burial was in the Stallings family cemetery.
LOUISBURG - Sybil Barker Shuping, 89, died after a brief illness on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at Rex Nursing Care Center in Apex. For the past two years, she has been a resident of Magnolia Glen in Raleigh. Born March 16, 1917 to John Sydney Barker and Annie Honeycutt Barker of Fuquay-Varina.
