LOUISBURG - Mattie Elizabeth Cheaves Sweet, 95, of Durham, formerly of Louisburg, died Saturday at Roxboro Nursing Center. Born July 29, 1919 to the late Zuna Lee and Lettie Terrell Cheaves. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Osborne Sweet, and her grandson, Horace Russell Sweet, Jr., and three brothers and six sisters.

LOUISBURG - Nell Rose Oakes Lee, 80, of Louisburg died Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Louisburg Nursing Center. Born August 13, 1934 to the late Earnest Hayes and Thelma Puckett Oakes.
