SPRING HOPE -- Funeral services for Claytee Evans, 82, who died Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, will be held Saturday, Jan. 14, at 2 p.m. at Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Castalia. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

LOUISBURG - Franklin Leo Shook peacefully met his Heavenly Father on January 7, 2017. He and his lovely wife, Patricia, had a home at Lake Royale in Bunn. Shortly after Patricia lost her battle with cancer and ALS, Frank suffered several strokes. He resided at Louisburg Assisted Living for many years, then Louisburg Nursing Center for the rremainder of his life.

LOUISBURG - Funeral services for James Floyd "Snoot" Williams, 80, who died Wednesday Jan. 4, 2017, will be held Saturday, Jan. 14, at 11 a.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home Chapel in Louisburg, with the Rev. Bobby Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Hickory Grove Church cemetery.

FRANKLINTON--Janie Tippett Faulkner, 73, of Franklinton passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017 at The Oaks At Mayview in Raleigh. Janie was born on February 18, 1943, to the late Frances Card and Meadows Hayes Tippett. In addition to her parents, Janie was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Faulkner, and a sister, Doris T. Ball.

FRANKLINTON--Funeral services for Mary Anne Smith, 70, who died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017, will be held Friday, Jan. 13, at 2 p.m. at Allen Metropolitan AME Zion Church in Franklinton, with Minister Barbara Wilder officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Grove Church cemetery.

YOUNGSVILLE-- Funeral services for Ronald "Ronnie" Lassiter Sr., 56, who died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017, will be held Thursday, Jan. 12, at 1 p.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Louisburg, with the pastor, Rev. James A. Hopkins Sr., officiating. Burial will follow in the Shady Grove Church cemetery.

LOUISBURG - Vernon Waylon Parrish, 61, died Friday Jan. 6, 2017 at Transitions Life Care Hospice in Raleigh. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home.
