LOUISBURG--Funeral services for Catherine Williamson Brodie, age 63, who died on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, will be held on Monday, August 27, 2018 at 4 p.m. at the Greater Ransom Way of the Cross Church in Kittrell. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery.

Vivian Ciciala Matthews, 63, of Henderson transitioned peacefully into eternal rest on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at her home. Vivian was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and an excellent cook specializing in Italian food. A lifelong educator she was always doing for others and she was a very involved girl scout leader.

LOUISBURG -- After opening the campaign with a home victory, Louisburg hoped to continue its winning streak Friday when the Warriors hosted Bartlett-Yancey.
But it wasn't meant to be as mistakes would doom the homestanding Warriors in a 26-6 loss to the Buccaneers at Patterson Field on the LHS campus.
The setback dropped Louisburg to 1-1 overall heading into next Friday's road matchup at undefeated Franklinton.
