WARRENTON, NC -- Lois Pernell Cyrus, 88, of Warrenton, died Thursday morning, September 24, 2026.
Born September 7, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Jackson and Lillie Mae Pernell. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, E.C. Cyrus Jr.; son, Darnell "Otis" Cyrus; sister, Judy Rich; and brother, Graham Pernell.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, October 2 , at the Faulkner Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Lois is survived by her daughter Sherrie Finch (Regan); son Freeland Cyrus (Norma); daughter-in-law, Shirley Cyrus; sister, Colleen Bass; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two great-great-granddaughters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Grove Baptist Church, 834 Alert Road, Louisburg, NC 27549.
