CARNETTE J. ROWE
August 15, 1920 – March 2, 2009
LOUISBURG – Carnette Joyner Rowe, 88, of Louisburg, went home to be with the Lord early Monday morning at her home with family by her side.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Fenner Y. Rowe. Mrs. Rowe was the daughter of the late Joseph Ellis Joyner and Paralie Bailey Joyner. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mavis Joyner Perdue, and brother, Ormand Joyner.

Mrs. Rowe was a devoted member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church where she helped start a bus ministry and worked on the bus for many years sharing Christ with children and their parents. She also played piano for many years at Sandy Creek Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Sandy Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Joel Story and the Rev. Butch Gordon officiating. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

Mrs. Rowe is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Becky Rowe, Sr.; grandchildren, Roxane Moore and husband Doug, Mike Rowe, Jr. and wife Ruth, Mark Rowe and wife Lisa; and 7 great-grandchildren.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Sandy Creek Baptist Church, Christian Family Life Center Building Fund, P.O. Box 60, Louisburg, NC 27549.

The family will receive friends at the home at all times.

Arrangements are by Strickland Funeral Home, Louisburg.

Mike and family, This wonderful lady will be missed by many. She has been a blessing to my family since my 2 were very young. She is one of the sweetest ladies I've every met and will truly be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time. May the lord be with you all. Your family has always been great to us and we are very sorry for the loss of this most pericous gift to you and all that knew her.Kathy,Bubba, and Sissy...
