CHARLES E. PRIVETTE SR.
LOUISBURG - Charles E. Privette, Sr., 72, died Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at Hillside Nursing Center. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 12, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home, with the Rev. Al Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Popes Chapel Christian Church cemetery.

He was born in Franklin County, the son of the late Rayne and Mae Mitchell Privette.

Surviving: children, Charles E. Privette, Jr. (Eva) of Youngsville, Cynthia Pendleton, (Richard) of Franklinton, Stephanie Delgado (Ron) of Plant City, Fla., Greg Privette, (Etta) and Cheryl Shearron, (Darrin) of Louisburg; sisters, Elma McLamb of Louisburg and Rachel Davis (Charlie) of Youngsville; brothers, Curtis Privette (Peggy) of Creedmoor, Don Privette (Helen) of Wake Forest, Howard Privette (Phyllis) of Hillsborough and Jasper Privette (Elisa) of Franklinton; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
