URBAN LYNN PEARCE
December 26, 1926 – March 14, 2009
LOUISBURG – Urban Lynn Pearce, 82, of Louisburg, died Saturday morning surrounded by his loving family.

Urban Lynn was a son of the late Urban Turner and Pauline House Pearce and was preceded in death by his son, Mike Pearce, and brother, Joe Pearce.

Funeral service was held 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home, with the Rev. Don McGinnis and the Rev. Allen Murphy officiating. Burial followed in Lancaster Memorial Park.

Mr. Pearce is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Jane Foster Pearce; daughter, Lisa P. Daley; sons, Jeffrey Pearce and wife Cindy and Brantley Pearce, all of Louisburg; grandchildren, Amy Wood, Joshua Daley; great-granddaughters, Mc-Kayla and Madeline Wood; step-grandson, Brandon Allen and wife Melanie; step-great-granddaughters, Alexus and Scarlet Allen; sisters, Louise Jeffreys of Louisburg, Carolyn Strange of Cary and Peggy Tucker of Raleigh; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Shirley Pearce of Raleigh and Charles and Peggy Pearce of Franklin, VA.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Tender Loving Care Hospice, 3320 US 1 Hwy., Suite B, Franklinton, NC 27525.

The family received friends 7 – 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Strickland Funeral Home, Louisburg, and other times at the home.
