RUBY L. DIXON
GREENSBORO - Ruby Leonard Dixon, 96, formerly of Fayetteville, a resident of Golden Living Nursing Home in Greensboro, died Thursday, April 30, 2009. Graveside services were conducted Sunday, May 3, at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church cemetery, with the Rev. Carl Hunter officiating.

A native of Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Frank H. and Rosa H. Kearney. She was married to the late James L. Leonard and Calvin Dixon. She was a homemaker.

Surviving: daughter, Joyce Autry (Howard) of Greensboro; son, Jerry Leonard (Shelbie) of Wilmington; stepdaughter, Myrt Wilkins (Robert) of Stem; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; and one great-great-grandson.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27405 or to a charity of one’s choice.
