PATRICIA B. “PAT” LANE
JANUARY 23, 1953 – JUNE 26, 2009
GARNER – Patricia B. “Pat” Lane, 56, of Garner, passed away Friday, June 26, 2009, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Pat was born January 23, 1953 in Rolesville, NC. She was the daughter of the late C.H. Bowden and Marie Williams Bowden. She was a graduate of Youngsville High School and Vance-Granville Community College.

Pat worked with the State of North Carolina Department of Information Technology Services. She served as recruiting manager, where she made endless friendships with many co-workers. Pat was a devoted, loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed her garden, back porch and walks on the beach.

Pat is survived by her husband, D.J.; son, Willy Hill and wife, April; stepdaughter Michele Lane; sister Anita Brewer; four grandchildren, Toni  Franklin, Jenna Hill, Mckenzie Hill and Jessica Hill; three aunts and many cousins.

There was a Memorial Service at 11:00 am Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. Inurnment followed at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Clayton. 

The family received friends Monday from 7-9 P.M. at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner, NC.

Memorial contributions may be made to the  American Lung Association, 3801 Lake Boone Tr., Raleigh, NC 27607.
