SHIRLEY S. JORDAN
BULLOCK - Shirley Stebbins Jordan, 57, died Sunday, July 19, 2009 at Duke Medical Center in Durham. A memorial service was held Thursday, July 23, in the chapel of Watkins Cooper Lyon, with the Rev. Ronald Cava officiating.

She was the daughter of the late Shirley “Buck” Branham Stebbins Jr. and Jean Curtis Stebbins. After being employed with Burlington Industries for many years, she went to work for Premier Women’s Health in Henderson and Oxford as a CNA.

Surviving: daughters, Velvet Newman Perdue (Chris) of Louisburg, Crystal Newman (fianceĆ©, David Barker) of Garner and Ivy Newman and Edwin Mowrer of Manheim, Pa.; brother, John R. “Jack” Stebbins of Clarksville, Va.; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Curtis M. Stebbins.
