L. DONALD COTTRELL
NOVEMBER 10, 1934 – JULY 28, 2009
LOUISBURG - Louis Donald Cottrell of 2471 NC Hwy 39 N., Louisburg, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, July 28, 2009.  Donald was preceded in death by his parents, H.B. and Doris C. Cottrell.  A celebration of his life will be held Thursday, July 30, from Corinth Baptist Church with the Rev. Brent Farrar officiating.  Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Hilda A. Cottrell; sons, Gary Cottrell and wife, Avis, Wayne Cottrell and wife, Scarlett; brother, Jimmy Cottrell and wife, Linda; grandchildren, Christy Zimmerle and husband, Scottie, Dwayne Cottrell and Taylor Cottrell; great-grandchildren, Micah and Mayci Zimmerle. 

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 29, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Boulevard, Louisburg.

The flag at the funeral home flies at half-staff in honor of Mr. Cottrell’s service to his country where he served in the National Guard.
