JIMMY W. RIVES
HOPE MILLS - Mr. Jimmy Wrenn Rives, 76, formerly of Apex, died Sunday evening, July 30, 2006 at Heritage Place in Fayetteville. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday, Aug. 2) at Mt. Zion Church, Hwy. 13, with the Rev. Arthur Horne and Rev. Ken Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Mr. Rives was born in Sanford, son of the late Henry Wayne and Mary Stone Rives. He had served in the National Guard and was retired from Monsanto in Fayetteville.

Surviving: wife, Margie Page House Rives of Fayetteville; sons, Denis Rives (Jane) of Raleigh, Phillip “Buck” Rives (Marj Marie) of Saxapahaw, Wayne Rives (Sarah) of Youngsville; daughter, Ginger Pittman (Joe) of New Bern; stepdaughters, Sandra Tew (Jimmy) of Godwin, Charlotte Horne (Rev. Arthur) of Autryville; stepson, Kenneth H. House (Debbie) of Autryville; sisters, Jackie Gaster of Sanford, Sandra Baker (Clyde) of Raleigh; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Mt. Zion Church, 8596 Fayetteville Highway, Godwin, NC 28344.
