HARRIETT B. WHELESS
Harriett B. Wheless passed away on Friday, September 25, 2009 at Community Care of Rutherford County in Murfreesboro, TN.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Wheless, her parents, five brothers and one sister. 

She was born in Guilford County, NC and was a graduate of Bessemer High School.  She married and moved to Franklin County, NC in 1952.  She became an involved member of the Justice Community through her volunteer work with the Justice Fire Department and Duke Memorial Baptist Church.  She retired from the Franklin County School System.

In 2005, she moved to Tennessee to be near family during the latter years of her life.

She is survived by daughter Ann Wheless Painchaud of Algonquin, IL, daughter Fran Wheless Dunne (Paul Dunne) of Smyrna, TN and grandchildren Lindsey and Caitlin Painchaud and Evan Dunne.

A memorial service will be held at Duke Memorial Baptist Church, 3976 N. NC Hwy 581, Spring Hope (Justice Community) at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 17.  The family will receive friends before and after the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Duke Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund, 1293 Edward Best Road, Louisburg, NC  27549.
