JOSEPHINE W. SMITH
November 7, 1922 – October 18, 2009
DURHAM – Josephine Wrenn Smith, 86, of Durham, died Sunday afternoon.

Mrs. Smith was a daughter of the late Claude Lee and Allie Blanche Fuller Wrenn and was preceded in death by her husbands, Woods Keith and Leslie A. Smith.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with the Rev. Wes Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her stepdaughter, Patricia S. Branch of Mt. Airy; stepson, L. Dean Smith of Jacksonville; brother and sister-in-law, Claude L., Jr.  and Mary Lillian Wrenn of Youngsville; sister-in-law, Gertrude Wrenn of Henderson; granddaughter, Pamela Burton of Mt. Airy; nieces, Mary Iva Nunnery and husband, Larry Nunnery of Fayetteville, Becky Rowe and husband, Michael Rowe, Sr. of Louisburg, Patricia Senical and husband, Mike Senical of Charlotte; nephews, Claude L. Wrenn, III of Youngsville and Ronnie F. Wrenn of Wendell; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

Arrangements are by Strickland Funeral Home, Louisburg.
