RALEIGH - Diane Reid Cooley Babu, 46, formerly of Wake Forest, died Thursday, April 29, 2010. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 6, in the Feggins-Feggins Funeral Chapel by the Rev. James S. Utley. Interment will follow at Corinth United Church of Christ church cemetery.

She was a native of Wake County, the daughter of the late Reid Sr. and Louise Montague Alston. She was a graduate of Wake Forest-Rolesville Senior High School.

Surviving: husband, Kephar Okemwma Babu of Raleigh; daughters, Latoya Cooley and Shemeeka Cooley, both of Raleigh; sons, Jerrard Cooley and Delvon Cooley, both of Raleigh; sisters, Donna Woodard of Raleigh, Mary Cooley of Garner and Joanne Burnette of Knightdale; brothers, David Gill of Louisburg, Jessie Cooley of Wake Forest, June Cooley of Wendell and Reid Alston of Richmond, Va.; and three grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at 639 East Pine Avenue, Wake Forest.

Arrangements are by Feggins-Feggins Funeral Services, Inc., Wake Forest.
