LEE BERT HALE
ALERT - Lee Bert Hale, 78, of Alert , died Thursday, May 14, 2010, at his home.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Ayscue Hale; son, Myron Hale; and granddaughter, Valerie Hale.  He retired from NC DOT in 1976 and Hales Auto Sales in 2006.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Mountain Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bill Wallace officiating.  Burial will follow in Lancaster Memorial Park.

He is survived by his daughter, Becky H. Gilliam and husband, Terry of Louisburg; sons, Bert Hale and wife, Susan of Alert; grandchildren, Jaime H. Frazier and husband, Stanley, Jesse Hale, Trey Hale and wife, Ashleigh, all of Alert, Cameron Gilliam and wife, Carrie, Jeremy Gilliam and wife, Rebecca, all of Louisburg; great-grandchildren, Christian and Ariel Frazier of Alert and Tate and Kenna Gilliam of Louisburg; brother, Ralph S. Hale of Alert; and his faithful companion, “Petey” (bulldog).

The family will receive friends Saturday night from 7 to 8:30 at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Boulevard, Louisburg.

Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Gold Sand Fire Department, 2295 Person Road, Louisburg, NC  27549 or to Community Hospice, 928 N. Main Street, Louisburg, NC  27549.
