MARY HELEN COOKE
LOUISBURG-Mary Helen Rogers Cooke, 83, died Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Louisburg Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 27, at Flat Rock Baptist Church, with the Rev. Gary McNair officiating. Burial will follow in the Wheeler & Cooke family cemetery.

She was born in Franklin County, the daughter of the late Will and Bertha Privette Rogers.  She was raised in the Junior Order of United Mechanics of America Home in Lexington.  She was a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband I.D. Cooke, Jr.

Surviving: her children, Wade and Darline Cooke Puckett of Louisburg; Darrell and Donna Cooke of Louisburg; Tony and Vivian Cooke of Louisburg; sister, Diza Morris of Denton; brother, Milton E. Rogers of Winston-Salem; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

Flowers are accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Junior Order of United Mechanics of America Home, P.O. Box 1288, Lexington, NC  27293

The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 26, at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 405 S. Main St., Wake Forest. (919-556-5811)
