GEORGE S. CURRIN
ZEBULON - George Stephenson Currin, 90, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010 at Guardian Care. Funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 26, at Hephzibah Baptist Church, Wendell, with the Rev. Bill Sanderson officiating. Entombment followed in the church cemetery.

He was born in Granville County to the late Johnny Smith Currin and Annie Overton Currin. He retired after 27 years of service from William Bennett Energy where he worked in sales and was a truck driver. He had been a member of Hephzibah Baptist Church since 1932.

Surviving: one  son, Johnny Currin of Wendell; daughters, Elaine C. Hendricks (Jimmy) of Zebulon, Patsy C. Bryant of Zebulon;  10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Strickland Currin; son, Rodger S. Currin; five brothers and four sisters.
