ARCHIE P. PARRISH
RALEIGH - Archie Perry Parrish, 80, died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2010, at Johnston Medical Center in Smithfield. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday, Oct. 6) at Union Chapel Baptist Church, Zebulon, with the Rev. Mark Palmer and the Rev. George Whitman officiating.

A native of Franklin County, he was the son of the late Arch and Mary Alice Hubbard Parrish. He was employed for approximately 48 years with Gregory Poole Equipment Company as a heavy equipment mechanic. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Raleigh.

Surviving: wife, Mavis Bunn Parrish; siblings, Allan Parrish (Lillian), Alice Faye Hunter, Nancy Long and Lola Dossett (Roy); many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sisters Virginia Zuercher and Ida Stuart Perdue.
